Watertown Strip, Paradise Ranch, Dreamland, The Box, Detachment 3. It's known by many names, but the one that is most known -- the one recognized by most people -- is the one that the government, particularly the Air Force, will not use and prefers that no one use. It's that "A" word we all know, "Area 51".

There is a lot written about this place, both here on the Web and in books and magazine articles. So much has been written, often with conflicting stories, that it seemed to me the only way to get to the truth was to meticulously examine what was written, visit the area myself, and try to determine what is believable, who is believable and what is pure science fiction.

In the pages listed on the left I've tried to pass on what ever I've discovered and in some cases, offer my opinion of what is really true about Area 51. I don't claim to be an expert. There is still a lot of the history of this place that is unclear. And I don't know, and don't want to know, everything that's going on there right now. Quite often those "reasons of National Security" are very valid reasons. It's only when obvious waste or outright disregard of the law occurs that I think we must know more of what goes on behind that sagebrush curtain.
